Life gets better when we enter our "golden years" and retire, doesn’t it? Not necessarily. Because we are living longer, we face the possibility of living with an age-related chronic disease. Cancer, diabetes, and heart disease top the list of conditions we have the potential to acquire as we age.
To date, few studies have focused on how we can use genomic data in meaningful ways to further understand age-related disease and new models for medical practice. Human Longevity, Inc. (HLI) hopes to change all of that.
Using whole genome sequencing, family histories, and several other routine clinical tests, PierianDx customer, HLI, launched a study with 209, symptom-free adults.
