Catherine E. Cottrell, Ph.D
Dr. Cottrell is the Medical Director of Genomics and Pathology Services at Washington University in St. Louis. She is dually certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics in the specialties of Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics. She completed her fellowship training at the Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Cottrell is skilled in the clinical interpretation of complex laboratory tests including constitutional and oncology chromosome analysis, FISH analysis, next-generation sequencing, Sanger sequencing, as well as chromosomal microarray analysis. Dr. Cottrell has an interest in the development of new clinical diagnostic tests, and a focus on quality assurance and quality compliance in the clinical laboratory.
